Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Dallas, Texas.
What was your first job?
My first job was working the concessions stand at a water park called Wet Zone. Instead of working in the hot kitchen, I graciously volunteered to work the Dip n’ Dots stand in the very back of the park. I spent my summer in AC eating free ice cream.
When you were a little kid, what did you want to BE?
I seriously wanted to be a dinosaur. When I realized that wasn’t real life, I wanted to be a paleontologist (people who discover and study fossils)
Best advice you’ve ever received?
Not to stress out or become overwhelmed about things I can’t change. My dad taught me that quite early. He would tell me that “sometimes it just is what it is” and that I should pick my battles wisely.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I am a designer. I got my BA Degree in Theatre Design and Technology with and emphasis in Lighting Design. I do freelance work like lighting design, scenic design or scenic painting on the side when I can.
What is your favorite book/movie?
My favorite move is between Hot Rod and Airplane and my favorite book is Animal Farm by George Orwell.
The BEST live event (concert, theatre, sporting) you ever attended?
I got to see a ska band called Reel Big Fish at the House of Blues. This was my absolute favorite band at the time; I knew EVERY word to EVERY song. It was also a tiny venue and everyone in the crowd was super nice and essentially pushed me to the front to get the perfect view. Just a fun and weird demographic of people.
What was one of your best days at your job?
I don’t have a specific day in mind, but when my clients come up to me specifically to tell me that I made their planning process easy and seamless is one of my favorite parts about coordinating events.
Tell us about your family?
I have 2 beautiful fur babies. Mogul (Momo) is my oldest cat of 4 years. He is purrrrrrfect. Then there is Salem, my evil demon spawn cat of 1 year. She is just lucky that she is cute..
Do you have a hobby? What do you do in your free time?
I like to play video games on my PS4, I play a hand full of instruments, and I try to keep up with my studio art projects to keep my skills sharp.
Where did you go on your last vacation?
I went to Waco… It was a cheap vacation but rich with memories.
