The 2019 chili cook-off was a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
Good food and good times were had by all! Thanks to everyone that participated and provided the food for the tasting. We were glad to see some cowboys and cowgirls show up too.

WINNING RECIPES
1ST PLACE CHILI: WILD MAN CHILI
2lbs of ground venison, browned
1/2lb of bacon
1 onion, chopped
3 gloves of garlic, chopped
1 can of pinto beans with juices
1 can of red beans with juices
1 can of black beans with juices
1 can of cream corn with juices
1 can of original Rotel
1 package of taco seasoning
1 package of dry Ranch dressing
2 tsp of beef bouillon
Top with cheese
1ST PLACE APPETIZER: OKLAHOMA DIP
Ingredients
1lb of ground beef
1lb of hot pork sausage
3lbs Velveeta cheese
1 can of Rotel
1 onion, chopped
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
Instructions
Saute meat and onions, add Velveeta. When cheese has melted, and tomatoes and cream of mushroom soup. Simmer for a few minutes. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
1ST PLACE DESSERT: OREO DESSERT
Ingredients
1 package Oreos
1/2 cup butter melted
8oz cream cheese softened
2 small packages of instant pudding (Do not make the pudding AND use the milk below. Only add the 3 cups in these directions.)
8oz Cool Whip
3 cups milk TOTAL (see note below)
1 cup of sugar
Instructions
Crush Oreos and place in a 9x13 pan, saving some for topping.
Pour melted butter over Oreos
In a large bowl, mix pudding and milk together until it thickens. Add soften cream cheese, and sugar and mix well.
Fold Cool Whip into pudding mixture and spread over Oreos
Sprinkle remaining crushed Oreos on top
Chill for 2-3 hours for best results
